hi all, hopefully this is posted to our class blog and not the wadeava-bang bang blog...
one day nv see me, do u all miss me? or u din notice i'm not ard? hahaz... anyway, i went to the imcb thingy today.. good thing is i get to wake up late.. tml starts at 9 so i get to wake up even later.. hehez... this is the onli thing i'm looking forward to...
anyway, today's labwork is so screwed up (ok.. tt's my nick for tonite) firstly i couldn't understood the lecture at all.. secondly we seem to have nothing much to do today so we wasted alot of time.. thirdly, we screwed up the little we need to do... hahaz.. one of our samples was spoilt coz the slides stick together!! there's not cover slip or anything to protect it.. so there goes our sample.. it went down the sink! anyway, then we spoilt a micropipette.. actualli not we but my partner.. she set it beyond the range of the pipette so it may not be as accurate as b4.. kana scolded by the person over there.. we used the pipette anyway.. so hopefully it will not interfere with our results.. we'll onli noe it tml i think..
well, the fun part is we get to see sectioning of samples embedded in some kinda gel-like thing call OCT which hardens when u freeze it with dry ice... the sectioning is done with a microtome.. hahaz.. we din do it of coz.. we wud have spoilt it..
we got to see dissection of 2 mice! poor mice but it's quite interesting.. its cruel wat the guys did to the poor mice in the end.. i dun feel like mentioning it.. we're suppose to be investigating the kidney cells of wild type and mutant type of mice.. but they went to "investigate" and destroy other parts of the mice.. eeeks..
tml will be DNA stuff.. so hope everything turns out fine.. enjoy sch tml ppl! cya next week..
